Whether you are in for sports and action or prefer to relax in a peaceful winter wonderland – Unken is the right place to stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of ski resorts and busy slopes you can experience winter pleasures during a snowshoe hike through almost pristine nature or a sleigh ride through powder snow.

The Heutal, a high valley of Unken, offers visitors a wide range of winter sports activities. This is the right place for downhill and cross-country skiing as well as backcountry ski tours. The slopes of the Dürnbachhorn mountain (1776 m) start at the Talschluss Heutal. You can choose between the skiing areas Unken-Heutal and Loferer Alm or explore the Steinplatte/Waidring, Maria Alm or Leogang.
